Executive Bios
John White
Chairman & CEO
Compass Marketing Inc.
In 1998 without a single client, customer or funding, John White set out to define alternate channels for consumer products and to attempt to convince Fortune 100 manufacturers of the marketing and sales potential due to the increasing consumer trend toward “away from home consumption”. John’s entire premise was based on a consumption study showing single family income disappearing and suggesting that away from home consumption would continue to increase as both parents worked.
Almost 10 years later, Compass Marketing is the alternate channel industry expert guiding multiple Fortune 100 clients including Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Campbell Soup Company, McCormick Spice, and Alcoa, etc. Compass creates these additional sales for both retailers and manufacturers by employing a network of experienced sales and marketing professionals as well as carefully cultivating solid relationships with retailers and distributors in alternate channels.
Giving back to the community is equally an important objective for John White and Compass Marketing, Inc. John’s philanthropy is represented in both his company, with Compass Cares, and in his personal time and resources. John is the President of iFred (International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression). He sits on the boards of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation, the United Way of Central Maryland Campaign and The Sharing Foundation. He also sponsors many non-profits including the Neat & Clean Boys and Girls Club and The Benedictine School for Children of Specials Needs.
John White is a native of Maryland. He holds a Masters Degree in Business from the University of Baltimore. John is also currently the Republican Nominee for Congress from Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District.
John worked in various management positions for brokerage giants Advantage Sales and Marketing and Acosta before starting Compass Marketing Inc. |
