John White, Chairman & CEO
John leads the firm's sales and strategy development on behalf of our clients. He is classically trained in marketing and was the youngest Director at Acosta, the leading sales and marketing agency for the grocery trade, before founding Compass. John is very active in the community and directs Compass philanthropic activities and support through our foundation, Compass Cares He currently serves on the board of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation; served as President of iFred, the International Foundation for Research & Education of Depression, a 501(c)3 healthcare non-profit; and on the board of the United Way Campaign of Maryland. John holds an MBA in Marketing & Management from the University of Baltimore.

Ralph A. Panebianco, President
Ralph is a leading sales and marketing expert with more than four decades of experience in the Consumer Products Industry. He began his career in the consumer products industry with Scott Paper Company before moving to serve in many industry leadership positions including CEO of MAI–Chaimson and President, Strategic Channels at Acosta. At Acosta, he was responsible for an 800 member team managing Convenience/Confection, Mass, Club, Drug, and Alternative Channels. Ralph has been extremely active in the industry, serving on several Advisory Boards for Fortune 100 consumer products companies and currently is the Chairman of a Number of Manufacturer-Broker Advisory Councils. He is a Graduate of Bowling Green State University. |

Michael White, VP of Operations
Mike leads the Compass Operations team to guide the company's growth and support services, specifically managing the Human Resources, Accounting, Finance and IT Departments. He has more than 30 years experience in senior management positions, including his tenure as Sergeant in the Maryland State Police where he coordinated Homeland Security efforts for the state. |

James C. “Chip” DiPaula, Jr., Senior Vice President Business Development
Chip leads our business development efforts including consulting, e-commerce and international market development. He is a former partner and COO of Petrie Ross Ventures, a premier retail developer in the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to this, he served as Chief of Staff to the Governor of Maryland and Secretary of the Maryland Department of Budget and Management, overseeing a $29 billion budget, personnel management for the state's 80,000 employees, and approximately $5 billion in annual procurement. Chip served as Convention Manager and CEO of the 2000 Republication National Convention in Philadelphia, a $100 million event with 45,000 attendees. Chip leads the Consumer Products Subcommittee for the US India Business Council and serves on the boards of The Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center, The Annapolis Economic Development Corporation and the Annapolis & Anne Arundel Conference and Visitors Bureau. He received his B.S. in Business Administration and Management from Towson University. |

Mike Cockrell, Vice President Business Development
Mike is a retail expert after having worked for Wal-Mart for 31 years. Mike joined Wal-Mart in 1980 as an Assistant Manager and moved to the Wal-Mart Home Office in 1984. Mike worked as a Buyer, Senior Buyer and Vice President Divisional Merchandise Manager responsible for the Consumer Electronics, Photography and Pet businesses. Mike returned to operations in 1993 as Regional Vice President, until 1997 when he became Vice President of Marketing. As VP, he acted as a voice of the customer and keeper of the brand positioning for Every Day Low Prices. In 2004, Mike joined the International Division as Global Vice President of Marketing and was responsible for guiding and influencing the Brand Positioning, Marketing, Private Brands and advertising in the 13 International markets Wal-Mart currently operates. In 2007 Mike joined the Wal-Mart India Team as Chief Merchandising Officer. Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Mike spent four years with Kmart. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Arkansas in Monticello, Arkansas. |

Alisa Greenwood, Marketing Manager
Alisa leads the Compass marketing and design team which provides a full suite of marketing, PR, merchandising and advertising services. Alisa was Executive Producer and owner of Clickit! Creative Interactive Design Group. She was also a Producer for Mullin/Ashley & Associates Advertising Agency as well as Event Producer for EDR Media Production Company. Alisa is a graduate of Ohio University with a B.S. in Communications. |

Joe Conoscenti, Business Development & Sales Consulting
Joe leads the Compass sales consulting practice and has more than 40 years experience in the CPG industry. Joe began his career with Lever Brothers as Business Director and Vice President of Global Customer Development and most recently served as Vice President of Sales for McCormick Spice Company. During Joe's 29 year tenure with McCormick he led their sales efforts along with the modernization of their sales force and personnel systems. Joe led McCormick's largest marketing project in their history as the company converted from cans to plastic. He also led the integration of Lawry's acquisition. Joe has extensive experience spanning multiple sales channels including Grocery, Mass and Club. Joe holds an MBA in Marketing from Loyola University. |

Anthony Cognetti, Vice President, Confectionary & Snacks
Tony is a candy and confectionery sales industry expert with more than 30 years experience in the CPG Industry . Tony has held many leadership positions including Senior Vice President of Vendor Relations for QDN; President for both the D.C. Sales Company (a Metro New York Confectionery brokerage house) and the New York Candy Club; and Vice President of Confectionary for M.W. Houck (a Metro New York food broker). He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the National Confectionery Sales Association and was inducted in to the NCSA Candy Hall of Fame in 1996. Tony received his B.A. in Business from the Pennsylvania State University. |

John manages multiple Compass accounts and has more than 35 years experience in the CPG Industry. Before joining Compass Marketing, John worked for Johnson & Johnson for 30 years where he held a variety of positions including Director of Sales, Director of Sales Administration, Business Director, Region Manager, Director of National Accounts and Team Leader Specialty. John and his teams have managed a wide variety of businesses including Chain Drug, Grocery, Drug Wholesaler, Dollar, Club, Convenience and Military. John established J&J's (McNeil Consumer Products) Alternate Channel business, valued at $100 million.

Dave is a member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Illinois and received his B.S. in Marketing from Central Michigan University. |

Owen McGreevey, Account Executive
Owen brings years of experience managing national sales for Pfizer. During Owen's career, he was promoted as a Retail Team Leader, Category Development Manager and Business Development Manager. He served as Category Development Manager of Kmart and then Business Development Manager of Convenience and Kit Packaging nationally. Owen earned several awards such as Retail Unit Manager of the Year as well as several Gold Cup Awards. He earned his degree from Northern Illinois University in 1978 and resides in Naperville, IL. |

Greg Acken
B2B Director
Greg has worked in a variety of Sales and Marketing assignments across multiple channels for major corporations over the past twenty years. Starting in the Food Service channel for Procter & Gamble in 1987, Greg progressed through various regional and national sales roles with Kraft General Foods, Nestle and Unilever. During this time he was responsible for managing the sales efforts of broker networks and directly accountable for growing volume and profit with major National Account chains via the sale of both branded and proprietary products
Moving to Dannon, Greg served as National Sales Manager of the field sales and broker teams and later directed the National Accounts team with a focus on Non-Commercial customers. He joined Johnson & Johnson's McNeil Nutritionals in 2006 as Director of Food Service sales and more than doubled Splenda sales volume in the Food Service, Convenience and Office Coffee channels during his time there. While at J&J, Greg later oversaw the efforts of the Club, E-Commerce and Alternate Channels sales teams. Greg holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University. |

Scott Lester, Senior Account Executive
Scott brings close to 25 years of experience in sales and merchandising to the Compass team. After beginning his professional career at TC Sports, Inc., Scott joined Folsom Corporation in 1990 where he would work as their Regional Accounts Manager as well as their Sales and Merchandise Manager. From there he joined Ellett Brothers, Inc., where he started as a Senior Purchasing Agent and was promoted to the Director of Purchasing. Lester would spend ten years with Ellet Brothers, Inc. before joining Remington Firearms in 2004 as their Director of Licensing. He finished his career at Remington as the Director of Product Management & Marketing FGI Accessories & Licensing before joining Compass Marketing Inc. in 2011. Scott received his BS in Civil Engineering Technology from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. |

Eileen Burgess, Director of Sales Communication
Eileen Burgess manages the Customer Service and Communications Departments for Compass Marketing. She manages direct interaction with our clients and customers and her team ensures efficient and accurate orders and fulfillment. Previously, Eileen served as manager for the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action, Office of External Affairs as well as National Sales Manager for the International Armament Corporation. |

Patrick G. Miller, E-Commerce Director
Patrick leads the Compass e-commerce division to create and manage digital sales efforts on behalf of clients. Patrick brings a wealth of technical and analytic experience developed from his diverse positions including Director of Community Building and Web Services at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation where he managed a team responsible for website, email campaigns, social media, volunteer engagement and community engagement. Patrick oversaw content, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, for the 2,500 page website responsible for fundraising and created and implemented the organization's first social media effort. Patrick managed online campaigns, including ads, robust A/B testing, behavioral targeting, retargeting and non-traditional placement. Under Patrick's leadership, online donation revenue increased by 34%, and was the largest ever increase in CBF history. Patrick received his BA in English from James Madison University. |
